Say It Loud: #ImAMason!
Research shows that the most common way Masons are introduced to the fraternity is through another Mason—often a parent, grandparent, friend, or colleague.
Last year, we launched a social media campaign called #ImAMason to raise awareness of the fraternity. Now, we’re bringing it back, with hopes of reaching even more people!
From JULY 10–21, we’re inviting all members to post a short message on Facebook or Instagram saying why #Freemasonry is important to them, and to include the hashtag #ImAMason. This can be a written post or, even better, filmed as a video—whatever you prefer.
Together, we’ll let the world know: I’m a Mason!

Kevin is a Wandsman at St Paul`s Cathedral. Kevin and the team welcome many tens of thousands of people to the cathedral from all over the world each year.
Kevin enjoys explaining certain aspects of the building, why only part of the ceiling is decorated, explaining the American chapel to our visitors from across the pond and at Christmas directing young Harry Potter fans to the concentric staircase which was used in some of the films. (it is normally closed to visitors). They also host large scale events such as the Queen`s Platinum Jubilee and has been host to many famous ambassadors such as The Archbishop of Canterbury.
Kevin`s favourite part of Freemasonry is helping and being there for others, in freemasonry we are constantly being encouraged to "be more conscious of the needs to others". It encourages you to be selfless, give to charitable causes (only what you can) and support others in their time of need.
Supporting each other is a large part of what Kevin enjoys in freemasonry. In Freemasonry, you are immediately made to feel welcome, there is a real sense of camaraderie and support that you won`t find anywhere else.

Freemasonry is not a static institution.

Just as we cannot change fundamental aspects of life like breathing, walking, or the natural elements...
we must accept Masonry for what it is;
A rich tapestry of history, tradition, principles, and purposes that have endured the test of time.
The true essence of Masonry lies in how each of us applies its teachings to our lives.
The value of Masonry today is no less significant than it was a century ago, and its philosophy remains as relevant as ever.
Instead of pondering how to modernize Masonry, we should focus on better integrating its teachings into our daily existence.
The modernization of Masonry should occur within the hearts and minds of individual Masons, as there are no limitations to our understanding and growth in this Craft.
Each day presents an opportunity to gain new insights and deepen our appreciation for what Freemasonry means to us.
Our hope is that every Mason, through dedicated engagement with our Craft, diligent study, and understanding, will find renewed appreciation.
Let us move beyond vague notions of "Modernizing Freemasonry" and instead wholeheartedly seek to understand what this fraternity truly means to us.
Trust in the Craft enough to admire it, study it, and perfect it.
