Masons4Mitts

Since 2009, we’ve been working with MLB community fund partners and our fraternity members to raise funds for the purchase of high-quality, leather baseball mitts for young ballplayers throughout the state. Masons4Mitts supports youth leadership development, empower them to learn and play the game, develop collaboration skills, learn about health and nutrition, build productive study habits, and more. After raising more than $2.3 million dollars for youth baseball programs, Masons4Mitts is the largest single sponsor to many of our MLB partners’ community funds.

Thank you for your support!

Building on eighteen years of partnership, the Masons of California, in affiliation with the Prince Hall Grand Lodge of California and four Major League Baseball partner foundations, are proud to announce that they have raised a statewide record of s $345,000 in 2026 for youth development programs through their signature Masons4Mitts baseball mitt drive. Since launching the program in 2009, Masons of California donations have raised over $3,000,000, which translates to over 150,000 mitts to youth players across California.

Each year, Masons4Mitts teams up with the San Francisco Giants, Los Angeles Angels, Los Angeles Dodgers, and San Diego Padres to purchase quality leather baseball mitts that are given, free of charge, to young ballplayers in junior baseball and softball leagues across California. Through these programs, Masons4Mitts and its partners provide children with a safe place to play while they develop key collaboration skills, learn about health and nutrition, build productive study habits and more.

In addition, California Masons set three new regional fundraising milestones by raising $163,775 in Northern California in support of the Giants Community Fund’s Junior Giants program, $86,436 in Los Angeles in support of the Los Angeles Dodgers Foundation’s Dodgers Dreamteams, and $63,599 in Orange County in support of the Angels Foundation’s Angels Nike RBI Leagues.
