Making the world a better place

Symposium Location Change

Each year the California Masonic Symposium addresses a Masonic topic in an academic setting.

This year's symposium, "Masonry, Military, and the Emergence of American Democracy," will be held Saturday, June 5 in San Francisco.

Please note the updated location:
The symposium will now be held at the San Francisco Scottish Rite Masonic Center.

The symposium will present a portrait of Masonry around the time of the American Revolution - including how Masonry influenced American military leaders, why it was criticized by Thomas Jefferson, and how the fraternal experience changed after the war.

The event is open to Masons and the public at no charge, just complete the registration form to sign up.

Contact Kim Hegg, program coordinator, at 415/292-9111 with any questions.
